The Home Run Derby has come and gone.

Now, we focus on tonight’s All-Star Game between the best of the best in the American League and the National League.

But last night was certainly a fun night and a memorable Home Run Derby to say the least.

The finals matchup between Julio Rodriguez and Juan Soto might have just given us a glimpse into the future.

Two of MLB‘s brightest and youngest stars went at it in the final round and put on one heck of a show.

Codify Baseball tweeted an interesting fact, that both of these players are in their early twenties and have a long way to go in their professional careers.

Soto, J-Rod Put On A Show

The final round was certainly an exciting thing to witness for fans and players alike.

When two of the best and brightest young stars go at it in the final round, it’s certainly a fun atmosphere.

Last night’s Derby featured a ton of exciting matchups, paying homage to some of the legends of the past such as Albert Pujols, but also showing us what the future of Major League Baseball holds and how the young players who are on the rise right now will be leading the way in a few short years.

Rodriguez and Soto are superstars in the making and will have the entire next generation of stars watching them as they lead baseball into its next phase.

These guys can hit, and they can do it extremely well.

Baseball is in good hands once players such as Pujols and Miguel Cabrera retire.

These young stars are the future of the game and will only bring more excitement to the sport.
