The Miami Heat snuck past the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night, defeating that team in South Beach 112-111.
It was a great game for a number of reasons: it was the first time that the Thunder had been on national TV in ages, multiple stars were shining bright, and the close final score made it very exciting.
But it was also historic too.

The Heat attempted 40 free throws on Tuesday and sank every single one of them.
Those are the most free throws in a game on a 100% free throw percentage in NBA history.
So, not only did the Heat walk away with a win, but they also walked into the league’s history books too.
Who was doing the most work when it came to the charity stripe for the Heat?
That would clearly be Jimmy Butler, who went to the line 23 times and, of course, went 100%.
Meanwhile, Gabe Vincent sank 6 free throws and Jamal Cain also scored 5.
The Heat have been written off by many but they are showing some signs of life.
They are the 8th team in the East with a record of 22-20, leading some fans to think that perhaps they are going to compile a string of wins that could position them for a good second half of the season.
However, the Heat have dug quite a hole for themselves.
They are going to have to work very hard to make a course correction and get back on track.
Their historic night on Tuesday was a good step in the right direction.
But it has to be the first of many if this season is going to be turned around.
This team was the top in the East when last season came to an end – is there any chance they can do that again?
