This year’s NFC East is very competitive.
There was a point not so long ago where all four teams would have made the playoffs if the season ended then.
But the season is not over yet, so teams need to win to stay in contention for the postseason.
One of those teams drinking in the last chance saloon is the New York Giants.
In the first eight weeks of the season, the Giants were this season’s surprise package.
After coming off a dismal couple of years, the Giants were winning games that no one would think they would even be competitive in.
This gave them a 6-2 record doing into their bye week.
They would come out of the bye week beating Houston (which anyone can do).
But then, it all went wrong, and the Giants have gone from having a realistic shot at the first playoff appearance since 2016 to missing out completely.
It all comes down to this weekend.
The Giants are 4.5-point underdogs on Sunday night in Washington, per @CaesarsSports. Massive game. Winner almost certainly makes playoffs.

Lose And It’s Over
The Giants now have a 7-5-1 record, having lost three of their last four games, and recently were demolished by the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Giants’ game against the Washington Commanders this weekend could be seen as the most important game they have played in years.
They go into this must-win game as six-point underdogs, with an injury list that seems to double each week.
The odds are completely against them winning.
But, this is the New York Giants.
They may struggle on offense, defense, and (as we found out yesterday) to kick the ball, but when everyone is ruling them out, that is when they will impress you.
Rule them out at your peril.
