The Miami Dolphins have been on the hunt to build their roster during the 2023 offseason.
Recently, they have added Mike White and Jalen Ramsey to their roster and both are potential high-impact players.
It appears that the Dolphins aren’t done adding players yet, as they are reportedly in search of elite running back options.
According to Barry Johnson of the Miami Herald, the Dolphins have been keeping a close eye on Dalvin Cook.
Dolphins have been monitoring Cook situation with interest, but Minnesota at this point is expected to keep him, per NFL Net and @DWolfsonKSTP .. Due to make $10.4 M in 2023. Three years left on deal. https://t.co/GAi574BK7g

Cook has been one of the best running backs in the NFL over the past several seasons.
However, he will be 28 years old when the 2023 season begins.
If he were to join the Dolphins, their two main backs would be 28 and 31 at the beginning of the season.
Currently, it doesn’t appear that the Minnesota Vikings are open to trading Cook.
However, as Jackson indicates, if they do make Cook available, the Dolphins will be listening.
During the 2022 season, the Dolphins had the sixth-lowest rushing yards per game of any team in the league.
They were one of seven teams to average less than 100 rushing yards per game in 2022.
With the addition of an elite rushing option, the Dolphins could not only improve their running game but open their passing attack as a result.
There are several weeks until the NFL Draft, and the official start of free agency is looming.
Many around the Dolphins have suggested that they will make some addition to their rushing game.
The next few weeks should provide clarity, as teams around the league look ahead to 2023.NEXT: The Dolphins Are Re-Signing A Key Veteran RB
