A team that has a 102-44 record has very few weaknesses, if any.
The Los Angeles Dodgers are head and shoulders above the competition in 2022, and everything begins from their starting rotation.
“For the @Dodgers in 2022: Urías: 17-7 (.708), 2.27 ERA; Gonsolin: 16-1 (.941), 2.10 ERA; Anderson: 15-3 (.833), 2.62 ERA; Kershaw: 9-3 (.750), 2.39 ERA. No team has had 4 pitchers finish a season with a .700+ win pct and a sub-3.00 ERA (min. 15 GS) since ERA became official in 1913,” Stats by STATS tweeted.

If they are all healthy by the time October rolls around, that would be the Dodgers’ starting rotation.
That is an incredibly talented group, with some valuable experience (Kershaw and Urias) and two hungry guys looking to extend their 2022 success (Gonsolin and Anderson).
The Dodgers Depth Is Unbelievable
If, by any chance, any of those four can’t go, Los Angeles also has Andrew Heaney and Dustin May ready to take over.
It’s also worth remembering that Walker Buehler had to undergo surgery and miss the rest of the season: had he been healthy, he would have been a lock for the rotation in October.
The Dodgers have done a phenomenal job turning Heaney, Gonsolin, and Anderson into real contributors after some career inconsistencies prior to 2022.
Kershaw also appears to be peaking at the right time.
If that’s the case, and with that incredible rotation, the Dodgers will be incredibly hard to beat in the postseason.
And if any of those pitchers falter, they could always go to their elite bullpen: David Price, Craig Kimbrel, Blake Treinen, Alex Vesia, Evan Phillips, Phil Bickford, and several others offer reliability in the late innings.
The Dodgers are built to dominate the regular season.
Let’s see if they can show, in October, that they are also great over short series.
