The Los Angeles Dodgers have had a season to remember thus far, having won 111 games during the regular season, an MLB-best and franchise record.
But that doesn’t mean that there weren’t some rough patches along the way.
While their play never seemed to be a problem, they did have to deal with the loss of an icon.
Back in July, longtime Dodgers play-by-play announcer Vin Scully passed away at the age of 94, leaving the baseball world saddened and at a huge loss.
But the Dodgers have rallied for Scully and have one goal in mind, to win it for Vin.
The Dodgers tweeted a touching video featuring some of Scully’s most famous calls, including a message that they were there to win it all for him.

It’s Time For Dodger Baseball
The video wrapped up in the best way possible, with a recording of Scully’s famous “It’s time for Dodger baseball” line.
And so, it’s time for just that.
The postseason has arrived, we’re in the next round, and the Dodgers are here to win it all for the second time in three years.
But they’ve got other things on their mind.
A World Series title would be the perfect way to honor the greatest sports broadcaster that ever lived.
The crowd will be loud, the players will be ready to win some games and bring another title home to Los Angeles.
As the video shows, the Dodgers are very clearly no strangers to October baseball and know what it takes to win.
But they want to do it for a legend and icon, somebody who came to define Dodger baseball over the years.
This October, they have a chance to “Win for Vin.”
