To nobody’s surprise, the best team in all of baseball according to the current standings is the Los Angeles Dodgers.

They signed Freddie Freeman before the start of the season and were immediate World Series favorites.

They’re on a 10-game winning streak right now after their 8-5 win last night over the Minnesota Twins.

But the Dodgers have simply been dominant the past few seasons.

In fact, dating back to August 7 of last season, the Dodgers are 118-44 in their last 162 games.

According to Dodgers insider Eric Stephen, the Dodgers are the first team with that many wins over a 162-game stretch since the Cleveland Indians did it in 1954 stretching into the 1955 season.

Dodger Dominance

The Dodgers have a superteam, simply put.

With that superteam has come a wealth of dominance and wins.

The Dodgers won 106 games last season and were a Wild Card team.

They’re on pace to break 100 once again.

On paper, top to bottom, this is the best team in all of baseball.

There are sluggers and key run producers all throughout the lineup.

On the pitching staff, there are dominant relievers and solid starters that can lead this team to another World Series championship.

They won it all in 2020 and look to be on track to do it again if they can stay hot and stay healthy.

But to be the first team since Cleveland to have won 118 games in a 162-game stretch is a remarkable feat and it goes to show just how dominant the Dodgers have been and currently are.

If you’re going to win a World Series, you’re going to have to go through the Dodgers in order to get there.
