While the Los Angeles Dodgers are going to be without their ace, Walker Buehler, for a while, that doesn’t mean that they can’t still find success in other areas, especially when it comes to facing another team’s ace.
Over the past few days, the Dodgers, who own the best record in all of baseball, have had their way with the top Cy Young contenders in the National League, and last night was just the latest example.
Last night, they took it straight to the reigning Cy Young Award winner in Corbin Burnes, touching him for seven runs over 3.2 innings.
They did a similar thing with Sandy Alcantara on Sunday, scoring six off of him in 3.2 innings.

Dodgers’ Success Against Aces
This is impressive.
Here we have perhaps the best two pitchers in the National League, both of whom are Cy Young contenders and one of which has already earned a Cy Young.
The Dodgers do have a potent offense, but they have been able to tear apart these two aces over the past few days.
Not often are you going to see a team score six or more runs twice against two aces like Burnes and Alcantara.
But they do have the best record in all of baseball for a reason and facing them is no easy task, even for the best pitchers in the business.
The Dodgers have made quick work of these guys and have done the same with so many pitchers in the National League this year.
There’s a good chance they’ll be facing Alcantara again this weekend as they head to Florida to take on the Miami Marlins yet again.
We’ll see if they can make quick work of him again.
