After bursting onto the scene with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2016, Alex Reyes quickly fell off the face of the Earth, dealing with several arm injuries that derailed him for the next three seasons.
However, in 2021, the young right-hander emerged as the Cardinals closer and was named to the National League All-Star squad.
A tough second half cost him the closer’s job, and he ultimately surrendered Chris Taylor‘s walk-off home run in the NL Wild Card Game.
Reyes missed all of 2022 with shoulder troubles and was recently non-tendered by St. Louis.
But his past as an All-Star has a few teams interested in him, with one of them being the Los Angeles Dodgers.
#Dodgers are among a long list of teams showing interest in former All-Star closer Alex Reyes.
Reyes missed last season due to injuries but was one of the best relievers in the NL when healthy in 2021.

Dodgers Keeping Tabs On Reyes
Reyes’ tenure in St. Louis ended in disappointment, but a fresh start with a new team could help him rejuvenate his career.
But a healthy Reyes could give them a little more certainty in the back end of their bullpen.
The 28-year-old owns a career 2.86 ERA and has been used as a starter and reliever in his career.
The right-hander saved 29 games in 2021 with the Cardinals, posting a 3.24 ERA in 69 appearances.
The obvious issue with Reyes is his health.
If he can stay healthy, then a team could certainly benefit from having him in their bullpen.
But if a team does take a chance on him, they might be banking a lot on him staying healthy, as injuries have derailed him for much of his career.
