The Dallas Cowboys are enjoying a four-game winning streak after their season-opening loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
While Cooper Rush gets a lot of headlines for his error-free play in Dak Prescott‘s place, much of the credit must go to their defense.
They haven’t allowed a team to go beyond 20 points through five games.
After all, they have been successful in keeping their opponents out of their end zone for the most part.

FOX Sports NFL proved that the Cowboys defense has been solid because they are the only team that has not allowed multiple touchdowns in a game through Week 5.
In fact, the Buccaneers scored 19 points in their Week 1 matchup.
Since then, they have given up 17 points to the Cincinnati Bengals, 16 to the New York Giants, and ten to the Washington Commanders.
The Cowboys also limited the defending Super Bowl champions to ten points in their Week 5 encounter.
Those numbers gave them the third-best rating in points allowed, with 14.4 per game.
They are also seventh-best in total yards allowed (311.4) and passing yards allowed (193.8) per game.
The Cowboys also barely trail the San Francisco 49ers for most sacks, 21-20.
Key Players For The Cowboys Defense
Second-year player Micah Parsons is the heart and soul of the defense.
He has six sacks, seven tackles for losses, and 16 solo tackles.
Supporting him are Dorance Armstrong with four sacks, DeMarcus Lawrence with three, and Dante Fowler with two.
Neville Gallimore, Osa Odighizuwa, Leighton Vander Esch, Donovan Wilson, and Jourdan Lewis have one sack each.
Meanwhile, Trevon Diggs leads the team in interceptions with two.
DaRon Bland, Malik Hooker, and Wilson have one pick each.
The Cowboys will try to keep their winning streak going in Week 6 when they face the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles.
