The NBA season is ratcheting up as the postseason rapidly approaches and it’s like a slew of basketball players have turned on turbo mode.
Multiple major names in the league have been having incredible games over the last week and there’s a chance the parade of points won’t end any time soon.
On Tuesday night, Kyrie Irving of the Brooklyn Nets put up a stunning 60 points in a victory against the Orlando Magic.

That came hot on the heels of Karl-Anthony Towns dropping 60 as well with his Minnesota Timberwolves.
Meanwhile, LeBron James, Jayson Tatum, and Kevin Durant have all produced more than 50 points over the last few days.
Are these guys all trying to outdo one another?
The answer is most definitely yes.
The Competition Heats Up
No matter how successful you get as an athlete, you will always measure yourself against your competitors.
Therefore, if you see another player producing 50 points, you want to produce 50 points.
It’s easy to get fired up when you see someone else doing well – that’s just part of being naturally competitive.
The NBA is filled with competitive players.
It also can’t be ignored that the season is coming to a close soon and the playoffs are right around the corner.
Irving, Towns, James, and the rest of the players who have been heating up have their eyes set on the postseason and that only gets them more invigorated.
They are ramping up even more to be in fine form as the postseason starts.
This is all very good news for fans of these players’ teams.
If these guys can keep putting up such amazing numbers then the next few weeks will be very fun to watch.
