The Indianapolis Colts 2022 season saw them having troubles in the passing game.
Their 3,854 passing yards put them in 20th place while their 6.4 yards per pass ranked 29th.
With these issues, the team is looking to make some changes.
While one area is getting a new quarterback, another is getting additional receivers.
On Thursday, the Colts did just that when they claimed New England Patriots wide receiver Kristian Wilkerson off waivers.

Wilkerson might not seem like a great pickup, as he didn’t play in 2022-23 NFL season.
With him being a practice squad player for most of his career, some fans might not be excited about the move.
However, he is someone with talent the Colts can develop.
In his last game for the Patriots, he had four receptions for 42 yards and two touchdowns.
While that’s a small sample, it shows he has some promise if the Colts can develop him into a starting receiver.
During his time in college, Wilkerson had 219 receptions for 3,540 yards while scoring 33 touchdowns.
His 2018 season with Southeast Missouri State saw him leading the team in catches (61), receiving yards (894), and touchdowns (14).
That season helped him rank fifth in the nation with receiving touchdowns, something he’s proven in a small sample in the NFL.
While he’s not the big name player fans want, he’s a player who can turn into a solid NFL receiver.
With the Patriots not keeping him on their roster, it now allows the Colts to use the young receiver for 2023.
However, if they properly develop him, he can give the Colts some solid production.NEXT: Shane Steichen Aims To End A Shocking Colts Trend
