The Los Angeles Clippers have a lot to prove in the new NBA season.
With Paul George and Kawhi Leonard healthy and John Wall on the payroll, the Clippers could really burst through the rest of the West and be a true playoff force.
That’s what they’re hoping for, anyway, because anything short of that would be a painful embarrassment for the team that’s never won an NBA Finals.
Their season might be a barn burner and incredibly fun to watch but it’s going to start with a huge challenge.
Sources: The Clippers are currently scheduled to face the Phoenix Suns on October 23 for their home opener.

It has been revealed that the Clippers are scheduled to face off against the Phoenix Suns on October 23 for their home opener.
As you know, the Suns are an intensely tough team that was number one in their conference last season.
So, will the Clippers secure a win right out the gate at home against such a powerful rival?
If they do, what does that mean?
Best In The West
This home opener is just one game, meaning that even if the Clippers lose it won’t be any cause for concern.
However, a win will do a lot to boost the confidence of the team and put them on the right footing to move forward.
The Clippers won’t just have to outdo the Suns if they hope to reign supreme in the Western Conference.
They will need to take down a fully healthy Denver Nuggets, Luka Doncic and his Dallas Mavericks, and, of course, the reigning champion Golden State Warriors.
Still, the Clippers could probably hold their own against all their teams – if they remain healthy and capitalize on all their talent.
