The Kansas City Chiefs are officially Super Bowl champions for the second time in the past four seasons.
Nobody can take that away from them.
However, many fans around the NFL have become somewhat annoyed with the team, particularly due to a narrative that has been circling them.

During the Super Bowl parade yesterday, the Chiefs ended the celebration with speeches by multiple members of their team.
Patrick Mahomes, along with many others, commented on the fact that they were in a “rebuilding” year this season.
Before the 2022 season, there was a narrative that the Chiefs might suffer without Tyreek Hill.
Hill, of course, was traded to the Miami Dolphins after getting his career off to an impressive start with the Chiefs.
Both Hill and the Chiefs were able to find success without each other this season.
However, heading into the season, the Chiefs still had the third-best odds to win the Super Bowl, even without Hill.
Clearly, at least in the odds of Las Vegas oddsmakers, they still believed in the Chiefs’ abilities.
Sure, there were members of NFL media that publicly faded the Chiefs, but as a whole, they weren’t seen as underdogs.
Mahomes is a two-time winner of league MVP, and a two-time Super Bowl MVP as well.
When a team has an impactful player like that on their roster, there is always a chance for them to compete.
Will Mahomes and the Chiefs be able to repeat their success in 2023?
