Injuries were a major concern for the Kansas City Chiefs going into their AFC Championship Game.
Before the game began, they had quarterback Patrick Mahomes dealing with an ankle injury and tight end Travis Kelce dealing with a back issue.
However, during the game, several key players left the game with injuries.
Before the game was over, the Chiefs were down their best linebacker and cornerback while also being without their three top receivers.
This really puts the Chiefs' win in perspective 😳

Despite all the injuries, the Chiefs overcame them and won, 23-20.
However, the injuries were a battle for Mahomes.
Without his top receivers, more pressure was on him to remain a clutch quarterback.
But the pressure saw him limping after several plays.
A rollout pass play saw the first signs of the star quarterback’s injury affecting him.
With his limp after the play, fans started getting concerned about him and their team’s chances of winning.
However, the young star was tough enough to overcome the injury.
But his injury wasn’t the only issue, as he lost JuJu Smith-Schuster, Kadarius Toney, and Mecole Hardman to injuries.
With just Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Marcus Kemp, and Skyy Moore as his remaining receivers, Mahomes still got the job done.
Valdes-Scantling was the star of the game, as his performance was critical to the team’s victory.
His 116 receiving yards on six receptions happened during key moments of the game.
He also had a touchdown, which was a difference-maker earlier in the game.
Had these players not stepped up, then maybe those injuries might have gotten the best of the Chiefs on Sunday.
