The Kansas City Chiefs have been in the Super Bowl in three of the past five seasons.
Under Patrick Mahomes, they have appeared in five straight AFC Championships, and don’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
Despite the Chiefs making another Super Bowl appearance this season, many have forgotten about the public opinion on the Chiefs coming into this season.

After the 2021 NFL season, the Chiefs traded Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins.
Due to this trade, many around the league believed that the Chiefs wouldn’t be able to find similar success this season, given the elite play of Hill.
Now, the Chiefs could have certainly used Hill this season, but, it appears that they didn’t need him.
This was due to another MVP-like season from Mahomes, along with the outstanding play of Travis Kelce.
Kelce has proven to be one of the best tight ends in the entire league and continues to be a reliable option for Mahomes and the Chiefs.
It turns out that great quarterbacks find a way to make their teammates succeed, even if they aren’t the caliber of athletes that Kelce and Hill are.
Mahomes spread the ball around this season.
Although Kelce led the team in targets, there were four players with more than 50 targets and eight players with over 30 targets.
Now, we’re not going to say that the loss of Hill made Mahomes and the Chiefs better.
But, it’s clear that with Mahomes at the helm, it doesn’t matter who his weapons are.
