Two of the hottest AFC teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills, are setting themselves up for a collision course in 2022.
The past two seasons have seen these teams provide exciting games.
While the best games were the playoff thrillers between the two teams, they have at least one date with destiny in 2022.
This date is October 16, the day the Bills head to Kansas City to face the Chiefs.
However, this meeting might not be the only one this NFL season, as both teams are playoff favorites.
Do Both Teams Have A Playoff Meeting Versus Each Other In Their Future?
After losing to the Chiefs twice in the playoffs, the Bills are going to want their revenge.
While they could get it in the regular season, something they got in 2021, they need a playoff win against KC.
Thanks to their 32nd in a 38-20 defeat of the 2-time defending AFC champion Chiefs Sunday night, the @BuffaloBills passed the franchise's 1964 edition (back during their time in the AFL) for the most points scored as a team through the first 5 games of a single season (172) pic.twitter.com/e6rdi9Blpt

However, it’s those playoff games which hold the most importance for both teams.
With both teams off to a great start, it appears these two will meet again during this NFL season’s playoffs.
While a third meeting is great for ratings, it is only great for the Bills if they can overcome that enormous obstacle known as the Chiefs.
If both teams reach the playoffs, it becomes a collision course again for the current titans of the AFC.
However, can the Bills change fate and overcome a Chiefs offense led by Patrick Mahomes?
Bills Defense Looks Even Better Than 2021
The 2021 Bills defense was a top-five defense.
However, the defense couldn’t hold off Mahomes.
But this is a new year, and a new defense for the Bills.
With Von Miller on their defense, the team has a major player who can disrupt offenses.
It’s been a hallmark of his NFL career to disrupt the offense, allowing teammates to make critical plays.
@gschiller13 Disruption means A LOT more to me than sacks. Von Miller had only 11 sacks, but it's the way he disrupts the game.

While Miller isn’t the same young stud from 2016, he’s still a disrupter that helps his teammates excel.
Bills fans saw what Miller can do in a game when he had two sacks against the Los Angeles Rams on opening night.
With him leading this new Bills defense, a rematch of the Chiefs versus Bills might end up with Buffalo winning.
Mahomes Looks Good Without Hill, Making Him A Threat In Any Collision Course
Mahomes came into 2022 with a chip on his shoulder.
The former Super Bowl MVP had people doubting him and his ability without Tyreek Hill.
However, Sunday’s performance by him ended those doubts.
With him looking great in 2022, he’s a threat to any team trying to derail the Chiefs Super Bowl chances.
While Week 1 is only the beginning, his slate of tough teams this season will test his playmaking ability.
If he can continue to dominate against teams, he will blast through that collision course with the Chiefs and Bills.
There’s no mistaking that the Chiefs’ playoff chances are riding on the arm of Mahomes.
When October comes and he faces the Bills, it will show everyone if he can continue carrying his team to victory.
