Obviously, the Boston Celtics entered this new season on a high.
That is because the team traveled all the way to the NBA Finals last season, disproving many people who wrote them off at the start of 2021-22.
And while they weren’t able to overcome the Golden State Warriors, fans were still very proud of the hard work the Celtics did.
The turnaround they had was phenomenal.

The Celtics record over their first 41 games of the regular season this year: 29-12

The previous season started badly for Boston and they remained under .500 as January rolled around.
But during their final 41 games of the season, the Celtics went on a 31-10 run, which skyrocketed them toward the top of the Eastern Conference and set them up for serious postseason success.
Fast forward to this season and they now have a 29-12 record for their first 41 games.
In other words, the Celtics have remained just as competitive and powerful in the new season and haven’t lost a single step.
This is surprising because of the big changes and challenges the team endured in the offseason.
They obviously lost their head coach and a few key players too.
This led many to think that perhaps last season was a fluke and they would be struggling in 2022-23.
That simply isn’t the case and the Celtics are now the top team in the East, although the competition is heating up.
The Brooklyn Nets have finally come back to life and sit in second place with a 27-13 record, which might be affected by Kevin Durant‘s absence.
And no one should count out the Milwaukee Bucks and Cleveland Cavaliers, who are hot on their heels too.
This season feels like a continuation of the last one for the Celtics and that is nothing but good news for their chances.
