No one is denying the fact that the Boston Celtics are currently the best team in the NBA.
They have their problems, of course, but they seem to be the surest thing in the league right now and have only built upon the power they showed last season when they went all the way to the NBA Finals.
But it’s sometimes hard to pinpoint why they are so good.
Obviously, Jayson Tatum is a terrific MVP candidate but what else makes the Celtics so special?

Digging into the numbers of the team gives us more information.
Right now, 10 players are averaging 45+ three-point percentages, and the Celtics have 3 of them.
Also, 9 players have recorded 30-point games so far in 2022-23, and the Celtics are home to 2 of them.
8 players are averaging 25 and 7, and the Celtics have 2 of them.
This team can shoot and play incredibly well and its roster hasn’t been this terrific in ages.
The Success Of The Celtics
This is one of the most stacked teams in the league and that is what is leading them to such enormous success.
And the thing that makes this roster so special is that it was all built naturally, and organically.
Led by Tatum and Jaylen Brown, the Celtics have grown into something special not through blockbuster trades but a slow assembly, led by mastermind Brad Stevens.
The Celtics we see now are the end result of years of hard work, planning, and tweaking.
They haven’t been this good in a very long time and they are now poised to go incredibly far into the postseason, possibly all the way back to the Finals.
