Spring training baseball is in full swing, and we’ve got another full slate of games on the schedule this afternoon.
The St. Louis Cardinals will travel to West Palm Beach, Florida to take on the Washington Nationals.
St. Louis won the season series last year against the Nationals, 4-3.
But in today’s game, the Nationals will have several former Cardinals in their starting lineup, so St. Louis will have a chance to see some familiar and friendly faces.
On Twitter, Cardinals insider Jeff Jones retweeted a post from the Nationals which showed this afternoon’s lineup, taking notice of some of the familiar faces in their lineup.

At the top, the Nationals will have outfielder Lane Thomas, who will get the start in right field.
Thomas made his debut with the Cardinals in 2019 and had taken over a starting outfield spot before he was hit by a pitch on the hand and forced to miss the rest of the season.
From there, Thomas was never quite the same.
And so, St. Louis shipped him off to the Nationals at the trade deadline in 2021 in exchange for Jon Lester.
Corey Dickerson will bat second and start in left field.
He was signed in spring training last year to give the team a left-handed option at the DH spot.
Though Albert Pujols claimed the spot late in the season, Dickerson found himself starting in left field for both of the team’s postseason games against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Finally, the Nationals have Matt Adams at the designated hitter position and batting sixth.
“Big City,” as he was often referred to, made his debut in 2012 and was with the team until being traded to the Atlanta Braves in 2017.
That trade sent Juan Yepez to St. Louis.
Adams later returned to the Cardinals in 2018 for the stretch run.
