All season long, Budweiser, who’s headquarters are in St. Louis, have been displaying special beer cans celebrating the time-honored battery and friendship of Adam Wainwright and Yadier Molina.
Last night, as Wainwright and Molina officially broke the record for most starts together as a pitcher-catcher battery, the St. Louis Cardinals had those special beer cans on display.
This is a duo that has been through everything together.
They’ve experienced their ups and downs, but at the end of the day, they are legends in St. Louis.
Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch tweeted a photo of the two cans on display in the media room after the game.

A Toast To Two Legends
The Cardinals made sure to celebrate a night like last night in style.
It wasn’t just an accomplishment for two legends.
It was also an accomplishment for two close friends who have been at this for years.
Wainwright and Molina stand alone at the top in terms of wins and starts as a battery.
Molina will be hanging up his spikes at the end of the season, and the same could potentially be said for Wainwright, who has hinted at retirement but has not made anything official.
Having special beer cans to celebrate them is a perfect way to honor what they have been able to do and what they mean to the Cardinals and the city of St. Louis as a whole.
Cardinals fans certainly hope that more great moments await them this October.
St. Louis is closing in on an NL Central title, and Wainwright could potentially be the team’s Game 1 starter.
For now, the two Cards legends will relish the moment that they got to make history in front of a raucous crowd at Busch Stadium.
