Since the start of the second half, the St. Louis Cardinals have been red-hot.
The team dropped two out of three to the Cincinnati Reds to open the second half, but since then, they have lost only one series.
In fact, the Cardinals have not lost back-to-back games since July 24 and July 26, when they lost their series finale to the Reds and the first game of a two-game set against the Toronto Blue Jays.
That trend continued last night in the second game of their four-game set against the Washington Nationals.
Following a 6-0 loss on Monday, the Cards bounced back thanks to a solid start from new acquisition Jose Quintana, winning by a final of 4-1.
Since July 26, the Cardinals are 29-11 and have bounced back from each loss with ease.
Victory line.
The Cardinals bounce back and beat the Nats, 4-1. They have not lost back-to-back games since July 24-25. They are 29-11 since that time span. #STLCards

Cards Win Again
This is the mark of a good team.
You need to be able to bounce back from losses quickly, especially at this point in the season.
The Cardinals have been one of baseball’s best teams since late July.
The win last night was also the 80th win of the year for the Cardinals.
They are now just two wins away from securing their 15th consecutive winning season.
The Cards are a team that seems to play their best baseball in the second half of the season, especially in August and September.
With the way they’ve been playing, they look like a lock to go to the postseason and have a great chance to win their 12th World Series title.
St. Louis has proven its status as one of the best teams in all of baseball with their recent run.
We’ll see if they can stay hot and continue to bounce back from losses.
They’ve been able to do it with ease for a while now.
