Tuesday marked a special day for the St. Louis Cardinals and their fans.
While March 14 is often referred to as “Pi Day,” thanks to it being the 14th day of the third month of the year and the first numbers for the Pi equation being 3.14, it’s an interesting day in the City of St. Louis.
In a very interesting twist, “314” is the main area code for St. Louis.
People in St. Louis are very quick to celebrate the things that make their city unique.
The Cardinals also chose to celebrate this day and posted a tweet to honor this special holiday.

The Cardinals certainly have a lot to celebrate.
They have been one of the most consistent franchises in professional sports since their inception in 1892.
Each generation has seen more than their fair share of winning ballclubs and solid players.
But the Cardinals are a staple in the City of St. Louis and certainly are in the mood to celebrate such a special day.
Better yet, it means that Opening Day is just over two weeks away.
The Cards will open up the 2023 season at home against the Toronto Blue Jays on March 30.
Just like “Pi Day,” Opening Day is a big deal for the City of St. Louis.
Fans file into Busch Stadium early to witness the fun festivities of Opening Day, including the introduction of the team’s Hall-of-Famers, who are always decked out in red jackets, as well as the introduction of their players.
For now, celebrating Pi Day will do just fine, but an even bigger holiday is on the way.
