The Arizona Cardinals have had a season that has been largely riddled with injuries.
Between marquee defensive players, and offensive stars, including their franchise quarterback, the Cardinals have found themselves in rough shape.
Last night, we learned about a new development within the Cardinals organization.

For an indeterminate amount of time, Cardinals general manager Steve Keim will be stepping away from the team.
After spending the previous 14 years tasked with various positions around the Cardinals organization, Keim has been the general manager of the team since 2013.
He has overseen drafting players such as Budda Baker, Kyler Murray, Isaiah Simmons, and Rondale Moore.
Keim has been instrumental in various trades in the past several years.
One of the most notable was acquiring DeAndre Hopkins from the Houston Texans.
What Will The Cardinals Do In The Meantime?
Without Keim, the Cardinals will have to turn to an interim general manager.
The amount of time that Keim will be away from the team is not known at the moment.
While the Cardinals assuredly send their condolences to Keim during this time of unknowns and a health-related issue, they do need to continue business as usual.
The Cardinals are out of the race for the NFC West and have a less than 5 percent chance to make the playoffs.
Their attention over the next several months will be on the 2023 NFL Draft, a great place to build up their roster with young talent, mainly on the defensive side of the ball.
We are certainly pulling for Keim, and hope that whatever affliction he is currently undergoing, he heals soon.
