No one would argue that the Chicago Bulls are having the season they wanted.
The team, which was unquestionably headed to the playoffs last season, is now 9-12 and the 12th team in the East.
They look radically different and worse than they did last season.
There are multiple reasons for this, including a boatload of injuries that have only slowed the team down.

Bulls Central on Twitter pointed out that the team’s schedule has also impaired them.
“For what it’s worth, The Chicago Bulls have played the hardest strength of schedule to date this season according to basketball reference,” Bulls Central said.
Sure enough, they definitely have had a very hard schedule so far.
But they should still be doing better than they currently are.
Bulls Getting Bruised
The Bulls opened the season with a hard-fought win against the Miami Heat.
Following that, they lost to the Washington Wizards and Cleveland Cavaliers.
Since then, they have faced off against teams such as the Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers, Toronto Raptors, New Orleans Pelicans, Milwaukee Bucks, and more.
And they have squared off against some of these teams more than once.
Some losses were expected but they also gave up some games that they shouldn’t have.
They were taken down by the lacking San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder and Orlando Magic, for example.
Imagine if they were able to claim victories in those games.
In the weeks ahead, the Bulls will again play against tough teams like the Atlanta Hawks, Milwaukee Bucks, and Sacramento Kings.
Things aren’t ever going to get easy for this team so they need to really examine what is going wrong and how they can fix it as soon as possible.
