The Chicago Bulls were relatively quiet during this week’s NBA trade deadline, surprising fans who thought they’d attempt to do something to right the wrongs of the season and get back on track.
It feels like the team is going to just sit still for the rest of the year, even if that means they miss the playoffs.
That’s because the team has big plans for the future.
They might make some major changes to the roster but they will also rely on the stars they already have.
But one of those stars is still missing and we don’t know when we will see him again.
“I don’t know” — Arturas on whether Lonzo will return
We will get another update after All-Star

Chicago Bulls Vice President Artūras Karnišovas spoke about the status of Lonzo Ball on Thursday and his statement was very non-committal.
“I don’t know regarding Zo,” Karnišovas said.
He then added: “I think he’s making small improvements. But, we’re still going to have more information for you probably post-All-Star weekend. And we’re going to inform you about that.”
It has been a long time since Bulls fans have seen Ball play.
He hasn’t been on the court since January of 2022, more than a year ago.
It was then that he suffered his first knee injury, although he was expected to be back shortly after that.
But then he had season-ending surgery to fix the problems in his leg, with the expectation that he’d be ready to come back to the team at the start of 2022-23.
That obviously didn’t happen and it’s been revealed that Ball has had multiple surgeries throughout the year.
None of them have made him ready to play.
He is still rehabbing his knee but Chicago has no timetable for his return.
At this point, most people assume he won’t play at all this season.
In fact, some worry that the injuries to his body might prevent him from ever playing again.
Again and again, fans of the team have hoped to hear good news about Ball.
Sadly, they are still waiting for something to be optimistic about.
