The story around Lonzo Ball and his return to the Chicago Bulls is getting more complicated and concerning.
Ball has been off the court for a year now, since January of 2022, due to what was called “knee soreness.”
It quickly became apparent that Ball was suffering from much more than just soreness.
He was expected to be out for about four to six weeks and yet he remains absent now with no timetable for a return after multiple surgeries.
According to new reporting, the Bulls aren’t sure what is going on with Ball and his injury.
“The Chicago Bulls don't know why Lonzo Ball is still feeling pain in his knee. The medical staff doesn't know why there is still pain. Lonzo and his camp also don't know why.” 😔
He also has had opinions from 6 different doctors

The report states:
“The Chicago Bulls don’t know why Lonzo Ball is still feeling pain in his knee. The medical staff doesn’t know why there is still pain. Lonzo and his camp also don’t know why.”
It went on to say that Ball has had an opinion from six different doctors but the path forward is still unclear.
Obviously, this is troubling.
Ball has seen some of the best sports doctors in the country and yet they still can’t seem to fix him or even figure out what’s going on in his knee.
That alone is very bizarre.
The team is struggling for many reasons but the lack of Ball is hurting them a lot.
Before his injury, he was really getting into the groove and playing some of the best basketball of his career, averaging 13 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.1 assists.
He had become a pivotal part of the Bulls’ offense.
The hope was that Ball would be back on the court at the start of this season, which was later pushed back to the middle of the season.
Now the team doesn’t have an idea of when they will see Ball in a jersey again.
Most people think that he will miss all of the 2022-23 season.
If the medical staff can’t figure out what’s plaguing Ball, he might be gone beyond that too.
