There were many people who expected the Milwaukee Bucks to experience their first loss of the season this weekend.
As talented as the team is, they were set to face off against the new-look Atlanta Hawks.
The Hawks could be the real deal this year and could pose a big threat to Milwaukee’s plans to return to the Finals.
No Middleton? No Problem.

Sure enough, the Hawks didn’t go down without a fight but Giannis Antetokounmpo and his Bucks were able to squeeze out a 123-115 victory over Atlanta.
Now the Bucks have a 5-0 record, the only undefeated team in the entire association.
They are doing all of this without the star power of Khris Middleton, who is still recovering from his injury.
Even without Middleton, the team is already in playoff form and ready to storm through the rest of the season.
And it’s not just Antetokounmpo who has been shining.
A Team Effort
Antetokounmpo ended the night with 34 points but he was actually -10 for the night.
He got off to a rocky start against the Hawks, going just 1-of-7 at the beginning of the match.
But that’s when others on the team came in to help, including Brook Lopez, who has been looking terrific all season long.
He was good for 21 points for the night.
Then there was Jrue Holiday, who racked up 34 points and 12 assists too.
This is good news for Bucks fans because it shows that even when Antetokounmpo isn’t firing on all cylinders right out of the gate, others on the squad can give the team what it needs.
The Bucks are set to face off against the Detroit Pistons next, so they could improve their record to 6-0.
However, the Pistons just beat the reigning champion Golden State Warriors so nothing is a sure thing.
