Although it was a tough fight at times, the Milwaukee Bucks easily defeated the Los Angeles Lakers without LeBron James on Thursday night.
The final 115-106 victory for the Bucks was an important win because it helped the team inch even closer to the top spot in the East.
They now have a record of 38-17, slightly behind the top-seeded Celtics’ 39-16.
But their triumph in LA was also important because it kept a very impressive streak alive.

The Bucks have now won nine straight games.
During this time, Giannis Antetokounmpo has been on fire with an average of 37.6 points, 14 rebounds, and a 60.8% field goal percentage.
On Thursday, Antetokounmpo was at it again with 38 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists.
He also had a field goal percentage of 60.9% during the game.
Antetokounmpo is making it clear that he is not going to slow down at all this season.
He has been on a tear since opening night and has remained one of the most consistent stars in the league.
Does this mean he is the frontrunner for MVP?
That’s hard to tell since he’s going up against the likes of Jayson Tatum, Luka Doncic, and back-to-back MVP Nikola Jokic.
But a case is being made for Antetokounmpo to win the trophy yet again.
How much longer will this win streak continue?
In the week ahead, the Bucks will face off against the Los Angeles Clippers, Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, and Miami Heat.
There are some tough teams in that lineup.
But the Bucks are now the second-best team in the East and no one has been able to stop them lately.
There is no doubt that they will put up an incredible fight.
