The Milwaukee Bucks have flown under the radar for much of this season, as they often tend to do, but lately, they have gotten very hot.
They’re currently on a 16-game winning streak, and as a result, they have overtaken the Boston Celtics for the best record in the NBA.
They have managed to do so despite not being at full strength, as Khris Middleton, who is arguably their second-best player, continues to be in and out of their lineup due to injury.
But Milwaukee could be getting a bit of help, as they’re the frontrunners to sign veteran guard Goran Dragic according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
ESPN Sources: The Milwaukee Bucks have emerged as frontrunners to sign guard Goran Dragic. He has connected with a few contenders since Bulls waived him, but the East-leading Bucks have moved to forefront of reaching a deal with Dragic.

At age 36, Dragic may not have much left in his tank, but the Bucks have adequate depth already (when healthy) and may not need a whole lot from him.
In 51 games with the Chicago Bulls this season, he averaged 6.4 points and 2.7 assists in 15.4 minutes per game while shooting 42.5 percent overall and 35.2 percent from 3-point range.
He has ample playoff experience, as he appeared in the 2020 NBA Finals as a member of the Miami Heat and advanced to the Western Conference Finals early in his career while with the Phoenix Suns.
There is a fierce debate as to whether the Bucks or Boston Celtics are the best team in the Eastern Conference, with the Philadelphia 76ers looking to get into that debate, and depth could possibly decide that battle.
If the Bucks get and stay healthy, they should have enough depth to seriously contend for their second NBA championship in the last three seasons, especially if they sign Dragic and he turns out to be spry enough.
