On Monday night, Bobby Portis of the Milwaukee Bucks left a game against the Detroit Pistons after another player fell on his leg.
Following that match, it was determined that Portis would definitely sit out of Wednesday’s game against the Denver Nuggets as he was evaluated.

It has now been determined that Portis has suffered an MCL sprain in his right knee and will be out “indefinitely.”
This is not the update that the Bucks wanted, especially given the season that the forward has had.
He is averaging 14.4 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 1.8 assists a game on a 50/34/83% stat line.
He has also secured the most rebounds off the bench and the most double-doubles off the bench this year.
Portis is in fact just 1 of 14 players in the league who is averaging a double-double every single night.
The loss of Portis is obviously bad news, especially since the Bucks don’t know when he will be back.
However, he is thankfully the only missing piece within the team right now.
Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez are healthy and Khris Middleton is back, although still adjusting to his return to the floor.
So thankfully the Bucks have a solid roster in place.
But without Portis, the rest of the team will need to play extra hard if they wish to return to the NBA Finals and win another ring.
That has always been the goal of Antetokounmpo and his team.
It was a tall order to begin with but it’ll be even taller without Portis.
Milwaukee is currently third in the East, fighting mightily with the Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets, and others for supremacy in their conference.
