The 2022 NFL season ended just over a week ago, and many teams have been searching for new head coaches and coordinators.
The Cleveland Browns, just one week removed from starting their hunt, have found their new defensive coordinator.
The #Browns are hiring Jim Schwartz as their defensive coordinator, per source.

Earlier this morning, the Browns announced that Jim Schwartz has been hired as defensive coordinator.
Schwartz has been in the league for over 30 years and has coached seven different teams across the league.
He has been a head coach, defensive assistant, defensive coordinator, and personnel scout as well.
This will mark Schwartz’s second stint with the Browns.
His first was from 1993-1995 when he was a scout for the team.
Schwartz’s experience should prove to serve him well with the Browns, a team that is looking to get back on track after a disappointing 2022 regular season.
In 2022, the Browns allowed 22.4 points per game, which, although it wasn’t in the bottom half of the league, was right around average.
With a quarterback of Deshaun Watson‘s caliber, the Browns’ defense needs to improve if they want to support Watson.
The Browns spent an exorbitant amount of money on Watson in the offseason, and we have a feeling that their front office will not be patient for long.
With the AFC North becoming a powerhouse of a division with the Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens both making the playoffs this season, the Browns will need to make significant changes if they want any chance to compete next year.
Will Schwartz be the answer that the defense has been looking for?
