The good news is that the Denver Broncos have won two straight games after dropping their season opener to the Seattle Seahawks.
However, they did not look impressive in their latest victory against the San Francisco 49ers.
The Broncos were highly touted as having unlimited potential on offense after the arrival of head coach Nathaniel Hackett and quarterback Russell Wilson.
But they struggled to reach the end zone in their Monday Night Football game against the Seahawks.
However, they’ve sunk to another low against the 49ers despite carving out an 11-10 win.
The Broncos are the only NFL team in the last 30 years to win a game despite having at least 8 more 3-and-outs than their opponent (Broncos had 9, 49ers had 1).

Stats by STATS revealed, “The Broncos are the only NFL team in the last 30 years to win a game despite having at least 8 more 3-and-outs than their opponent (Broncos had 9, 49ers had 1).”
Worst yet, the Broncos managed just 3.7 yards per play on 70 attempts.
They have converted only six third-downs out of 19 tries.
Likewise, Wilson finished with 20 completions for 184 yards.
Running back Melvin Gordon scored their only touchdown in the game.
A field goal from Brandon McManus and a safety from Jimmy Garoppolo‘s out-of-bounds play comprised their total points for the game.
The Broncos will take the victory despite the manner by which they won as they head into Week 4 to face the Las Vegas Raiders.
Broncos Defense Kept Them In The Game
The team’s defensive unit compensated for the woes of their teammates on the other side of the ball.
Josey Jewell, Mike Purcell, Randy Gregory, and Bradley Chubb had one sack each.
Jonas Griffith also made an interception.
They limited the Niners to 267 total yards, 88 of which were from the ground.
On days when the Broncos offense fail to score, it’s comforting to have a defense that can shut down opponents.
