The Denver Broncos dropped their third primetime game this season.
They lost to the Los Angeles Chargers this time via Dustin Hopkins‘ game-winning field goal.
The Broncos haven’t capitalized on their talent level and are now at 2-4.
It’s a start that their fans never dreamed of because they thought adding Russell Wilson would help their offense perform better.
Instead, they have struggled to put points on the board and went above the 20-point mark just once in six games.
Despite their troubles on that side of the ball, the Broncos always had a chance to win, thanks to their defense.
Unfortunately, their efforts are being wasted by the offense’s ineptitude in scoring.
The Broncos have had Russell Wilson play every single offensive snap, their defense has allowed SIX TOUCHDOWNS ALL YEAR… and they’re 2-4!
Just the worst imaginable scenario for them and their fans.

FOX Sports analyst Nick Wright tweeted, “The Broncos have had Russell Wilson play every single offensive snap, their defense has allowed SIX TOUCHDOWNS ALL YEAR… and they’re 2-4! Just the worst imaginable scenario for them and their fans.”
Therefore, the problem seems to be on the offense, especially with Wilson not connecting with his targets.
As an explanation, they did lose Javonte Williams and Tim Patrick to season-ending injuries.
Still, the Broncos have several options in Melvin Gordon III, Jerry Jeudy, Courtland Sutton, and K.J. Hamler.
It looks like a long year for Broncos fans because the losses are mounting.
Not The Same Wilson?
Wilson is the type of quarterback that relied on athletic ability.
However, he does not move at the same speed now that he is older.
Therefore, it’s easier to check him and his targets downfield because opponents would rather surrender a quarterback run.
That reality could be a factor for Denver being dead last in points, averaging just 15.2 per game.
If Wilson’s performance will be the trend, the Broncos will be in a lot of trouble because he will be with them for a long time.
