The season is over for the Milwaukee Brewers, and it was an ugly finish.
Ever since the Josh Hader trade took place with the San Diego Padres, it’s been downhill for the Brew Crew.
They showed a little life in September and even got close to the Philadelphia Phillies for the third NL Wild Card spot.
But they ultimately fell just short, finishing one game behind the Phils in the standings and seven behind the NL Central champion St. Louis Cardinals.
On Twitter, the Brewers posted a video of their players giving thanks to their fans for showing up to support them through 162 games and expressing excitement for 2023.
Thank you, Brewers fans!
Your love and support mean everything to our team. Our players wanted to let you know how much they appreciated you cheering them on throughout the season.

Brewers Thank Their Fans
Even with the Hader trade, the Brewers only fell one game short of the postseason.
It was not a bad year by any stretch for The Crew.
But their streak of four straight seasons in the postseason has still been snapped.
When people look back at the season, the one thing they’re going to point to is the Hader trade when trying to deduce what caused their collapse.
Other factors certainly apply, but when they made that trade, they had a decent sized lead over the Cardinals in the Central.
The momentum looked to be on their side, especially with St. Louis dealing with so many pitching injuries.
But through thick and thin, the fans stayed with their Brewers, even after the trade was made.
They continued to cheer them on and support them.
That never goes unnoticed by a team, which is why the Brewers took the time to share their gratitude with their fans.
2023 is right around the corner.
Maybe the Brewers will be back in the picture next year.
