The defending World Series Champion Atlanta Braves are among the powerhouses in baseball.
They may still be a game back of the New York Mets in the NL East, but that could change very quickly.
There is a very important three-game series looming this coming weekend at Truist Park between the two NL East heavyweights.
But the Braves are also among quite an exclusive club this year.
Out of all 30 teams in Major League Baseball this year, there are four teams who have won 95 or more, and the Braves are one of those teams.
The other three are the Los Angeles Dodgers, Houston Astros, and the Mets are the other three.

Braves Among Top Contenders
The defending champions are certainly still a force to be reckoned with and remain a major threat to repeat.
Out of all four of the teams listed, they might just be the best one of them on paper.
They have a quality pitching staff led by ace Max Fried that also features Rookie of the Year candidate Spencer Strider and Kyle Wright, as well as veteran Charlie Morton.
Strider is out with an oblique issue, but that doesn’t seem to have slowed them down one bit.
Despite losing Freddie Freeman, the Braves offense is still potent, featuring Ronald Acuna Jr. Matt Olson, Travis d’arnaud, Ozzie Albies, and young studs such as Michael Harris and Vaughn Grissom.
They’ve also got an elite closer in Kenley Jansen.
This is still a very good team that hasn’t skipped a beat since the departure of Freeman, their once-franchise cornerstone.
The Braves look even better this year.
If your teams wants to win it all, they’ll have to go through Braves Country.
