The San Francisco 49ers have been making a lot of noise in the NFL this summer for a number of different reasons, as the storied NFL franchise has dealt with some internal drama from the quarterback position to the defensive side of the football with Nick Bosa.
As if trying to figure out if Brock Purdy is the real deal and what to do with the recently traded Trey Lance wasn’t tough enough for Kyle Shanahan and company in the Bay Area, Bosa’s contract situation took it to another level as he wanted to get paid what he’s worth after winning NFL Defensive Player of the Year last season.
This led to a long and drawn out process between the two sides that seemed to be heading in the wrong direction until Wednesday when a deal was finally struck to make the superstar defensive end a wealthy man.
In fact, Bosa’s deal makes him the highest-paid defender in the league, which is a few notches above his brother Joey Bosa of the Los Angeles Chargers, making them a very well-paid duo, as they come in at No. 1 and No. 4, according to PFF.
