The Toronto Blue Jays have existed in MLB since 1977.
They were placed in the AL East division, and one of their foes was the Baltimore Orioles.
To this day, they have been in the same division so naturally, they have played a lot against each other.
The two teams are about to face off for the 700th time in regular season.
“Today marks the 700th all-time regular-season meeting between the #BlueJays & #Orioles. Blue Jays are 380-319 in their 699 meetings. The Orioles will be the first team the Blue Jays have faced at least 700 times in club history,” Sportsnet’s stats department tweeted on Friday.

The Orioles are the most frequent foe for the Jays, and while historical stats say Toronto owns Baltimore (a 380-319 record is remarkable), a new chapter is written every time they meet again.
Both Teams Are In A Playoff Push
This time, their matchup will have a nice condiment for the weekend: both squads are fighting for a place in the postseason.
The 81-63 Blue Jays are second in the AL East, half a game ahead of the Tampa Bay Rays and owners of a playoff spot via the Wild Card.
The Orioles, however, have been surprisingly good in 2022 and have a 75-67 record as of Friday afternoon.
Baltimore is five games behind the Jays in the quest for the playoffs.
To qualify, the Os will likely have to finish ahead of one of the Jays and Rays, and unless they catch fire in the season’s remaining two weeks, it’s looking unlikely.
In any case, Baltimore has had a phenomenal season and should be ready to contend from the go in 2023.
The matchups between the Jays and Orioles will become much more interesting.
