Once again, the Houston Astros are headed to the American League Championship Series with a chance to reach the World Series for the fourth time in the last six years.
With a 1-0 win in Game 3 of the ALDS, which ultimately lasted 18 innings, the Astros eliminated the Mariners, who were in the postseason for the first time since 2001.
Prior to the start of Game 3, the Mariners tweeted a picture of a team flag on top of the Space Needle that read “We’re Back.”
After the game, the Astros decided to have a little fun with it, replacing the Mariners flag with one of their own, effectively trolling the Mariners on their way out of town.

Astros Troll Mariners After ALDS Sweep
The Mariners may be a team on the rise, but the Astros still hold all the cards.
Knowing that, the Astros took to Twitter to troll the Mariners in epic fashion.
On the same day playoff baseball returned to the city of Seattle, the Astros came in and nipped it right in the bud, eliminating the Mariners with their 1-0 victory.
The Mariners simply ran out of postseason magic and were unable to stand up to the Astros.
But the Astros took it to another level with their epic troll of the Mariners.
It’s a clever and poignant way for them to put their rivals back in their place.
Houston will now await the winner of the series between the Cleveland Guardians and the New Yankees, which has come down to a winner-take-all Game 5.
After dominating the Mariners, the Astros will begin the ALCS at home on Wednesday against whoever wins tonight’s Game 5.
But after the trolling incident, the Mariners will certainly be motivated to come back stronger in 2023.
