There is no place like home.
The Houston Astros‘ sense of urgency returned after losing Game 3 of the World Series to the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday, falling behind 2-1 in the 2022 World Series.
After dropping that one, they took two straight in Philadelphia and are now in command of the series, 3-2.
Now, the two teams will travel to Houston to play Game 6 on Saturday.
The next Astros win, whether it comes Saturday or Sunday, will give them the World Series trophy for the first time since 2017.
They could have the chance to celebrate with their fans, a rare feat in recent years.
“The last team to clinch the World Series in its home ballpark was the 2013 Red Sox since then, each of the last 7 WS played at team’s own parks (excluding neutral-site 2020) have been clinched on the road it’s the longest streak of road clinches in WS history,” MLB stats expert Sarah Langs tweeted.

The Astros Have A Golden Opportunity
The 2014 San Francisco Giants won in Kansas City; the 2015 Royals won in New York, and the 2016 Chicago Cubs won in Cleveland.
After that, these same Astros took the crown in Los Angeles in 2017, then the Boston Red Sox won at the same venue in 2018, both against the Dodgers.
The 2019 Washington Nationals won in Houston, and the 2020 World Series was played in neutral ground because of the pandemic.
Last year, the Atlanta Braves defeated the Astros in six games, with their last win coming in Houston.
Perhaps the Philadelphia Phillies have the last word and take Games 6 and 7, ruining the chances of the champion celebrating at home.
But the Astros have a prime chance and don’t want to waste it.
