It’s no secret that the Philadelphia 76ers have their sights set on making it far in the postseason this year, ideally even reaching the Finals and ultimately winning it all.
At the same time, it’s also no secret that the Brooklyn Nets are underperforming and practically wasting their time with Kevin Durant, one of the best players in the NBA and perhaps of all time.

Therefore, it’s not a huge surprise to hear the latest NBA rumor: that the 76ers want to sign Durant and steal him away from the Nets.
That would be a massive, monumental change for both teams and would immediately radically transform the entire league in a second.
But will it actually happen?
Durant Done In Brooklyn?
If Philly really does want to intrigue Durant and woo him away from Brooklyn, now might be the time.
The team has a 6-8 record, far lower than what was expected of them.
At times, it feels like Durant is carrying the entire team on his back and he must be tired of doing that.
Kyrie Irving has caused a slew of headaches, Ben Simmons hasn’t lived up to expectations, and Seth Curry and others are inconsistent because of their own issues or injuries.
Durant wants to win and he is having a heck of a time doing that in Brooklyn.
But Philly would have to do a lot to get Durant – they would need to be ready to trade just about everyone on their team not named Embiid (and probably Harden).
Would they be willing to do all of that?
It would be a huge gamble – but it could pay off.
However, right now this is just one big, juicy rumor.
