It wasn’t until their fourth game that the Philadelphia 76ers finally scored a win for their record.
The team didn’t get off to a great start, going 0-3 at the beginning of the season.
This was due to a couple of reasons: the 76ers are still finding their rhythm at the start of the year and they also were handed down a tough schedule by the NBA.
But a 0-3 record is cause for concern and it made many fans uneasy and downright upset.
Embiid on #sixers fans after team’s 0-3 start: “They probably wanted me to be traded and the whole team sent down to the G League.”

Philadelphia’s biggest star, Joel Embiid, is well aware of how the fans felt about the team’s lacking start to the year.
“They probably wanted me to be traded and the whole team send down to the G League,” Embiid said after the team finally earned their first W.
Now the 76ers have a long way to go in order to make fans happy and perhaps make good on a long-standing promise.
Trusting The Process
For years now, fans of the 76ers have been told that the team was on the verge of finally making the Finals yet again.
And for years now, they haven’t made good on that.
With James Harden, Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, PJ Tucker, and others, the team was looking primed to achieve greatness this season.
That 0-3 start didn’t instill much more confidence.
But maybe the team just needed to work out the kinks, find a rhythm, and get into the swing of things.
Maybe they will start putting away a slew of wins and become the most fearsome team in the East.
They sure hope so because if the 76ers start to lose again then they will have all of Philadelphia upset with them.
