The New York Giants were not expecting to win in their Week 18 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.
However, they kept the game closer than many people thought.
With a slew of non-starters playing the entire game, there were a number of surprises.
Here are the two best performances from their Week 18 loss.
2. Davis Webb
Any time you head into an NFL game with your third-string QB, it can be worrisome.
Davis Webb was in that position, but he actually played well against an Eagles defense that ranks towards the top of the NFL.
Webb threw for 168 yards with no interceptions, avoiding giving away any costly turnovers.
He also added a touchdown, helping guide the Giants to a late game push.
His rushing stats also stood out.
There, he added 41 yards and a touchdown, helping round out his afternoon.

While it certainly wasn’t MVP-level play, it caught many fans by surprise.
Webb isn’t competing for a starting spot with the Giants or anywhere else in the NFL.
However, he got his chance to start an NFL game and handled it fairly well.
1. Micah McFadden
On the defensive side, the Giants were able to pressure Jalen Hurts and the Eagles and not make it an easy game.
This was in large part due to the play of rookie linebacker Micah McFadden.
McFadden has become a consistent contributor on the defense over the final few weeks of the season, registering at least five tackles in five of their last six games.

On Sunday, McFadden tallied seven total tackles and a sack.
With the playoffs approaching, McFadden will look to ride that momentum and continue contributing during Wild Card Weekend.
