The 1 NFL Team That Could Surprise Everyone In 2022

The NFL preseason is almost here and everyone is giving out their predictions on which teams will do well this season.

While more people focus on the favorites, there could be some sleeper teams this season.

However, there’s one team that could surprise everyone for the 2022 NFL season.

This is a team that most people are overlooking.

While they might not make the Super Bowl, they could make some noise this season.

Who is the one NFL team that could surprise us?

The Jacksonville Jaguars Are The Surprise Team Of 2022

Here’s the limb I’m willing to go out on, the Jacksonville Jaguars will surprise everyone this season.

Now that doesn’t mean they make the Super Bowl, but they will compete at a much higher level this year.

They are in an odd AFC South, where we already know the Texans don’t have a shot of winning.

However, they will have to overcome the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans.

Last season, the Jaguars would play spoiler to the Colts’ playoff hopes.

I gotta give it to the Jaguars for getting the upset win to spoil the Colts' playoff hopes nobody expected this to happened and it did pic.twitter.com/QqYaUM0inm

Give the team credit, they did something that no one thought they could do.

In a game everyone saw the Colts cake walking to victory, the Jaguars would stop the victory dance and playoff hopes of their AFC South rival.

That’s one reason they will be a surprise team this year, because they have been full of surprises since last season.

Jaguars Made Improvements During The Offseason To Help Trevor Lawrence

Protection for Lawrence and offensive weapons were a concern for the Jaguars last season.

However, the team would fix some of those problems during the 2022 NFL offseason.

They would sign wide receivers Christian Kirk and Zay Jones along with offensive lineman Brandon Scherff this year.

But they didn’t stop there, as they also got tight end Evan Engram to help their offense as well.

Scherff is one of the best interior linemen in football, and was key in protecting his quarterback when he was in Washington.

Jaguars RG Brandon Scherff ranked the third best interior offensive lineman in the NFL in ESPN’s Top 10 iOL.

This gives Lawrence protection and also gives the team a guard who can run block for Travis Etienne.

Kirk and Jones are an upgrade over last year’s wide receiver group.

And then you have Engram, who’s a solid tight end and a major upgrade for Jacksonville.

However, they also made some moves in the draft to help their defense.

Travon Walker And Devin Lloyd Are The Pair Who Will Help Jags Defense In 2022

The Jaguars used both of their first-round draft picks to get defensive players.

They got Travon Walker with the first overall pick then got Devin Lloyd with the 27th overall pick.

This gives the Jaguars two young studs to help with the edge rush and at linebacker.

With the team ranking 28th in total defense last year, bulking up with these two players makes sense.

The Jaguars hope to finish higher than 26th this season in the sack department now that they have Walker and Lloyd.

While still young, they give the Jaguars the fire they need to surprise everyone during the 2022 NFL season.
