The Houston Texans are spending plenty of time searching for their next head coach.
While the team has interviewed several candidates, one person stands out above the rest.
This person is DeMeco Ryans, the defensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers.
While he’s not the new head coach just yet, one insider for the Texans feels Ryans can be the team’s savior.
For Texans insider John McClain, he feels Ryans can make the team “relevant again.”
DeMeco Ryans is going to reunite the Texans’ fan base. With Ryans and a franchise QB with the second overall pick, the Texans will be relevant again. Can’t wait!

While his tweet only uses the pick of a franchise quarterback to bolster his claim, there’s more to this story.
Ryans has a long history with the Texans, which dates back to 2006.
It was during that year the Texans took him in the second round of the NFL Draft.
He made a mark with his team, becoming the Defensive Rookie of the Year that season.
With him spending his first six seasons in the NFL with the Texans, he has a history with the team.
He knows the franchise and their fan base, two things which he can use to reunite everyone in Houston.
While the team and their fans have endured rough times, Ryans can change this if he becomes their next head coach.
He led the best defensive unit in all of football this season, and can help revive the Texans defense in 2023.
While the deal isn’t done, the Texans need him if they want to become relevant once more in the NFL.
His defensive coaching history, and his history with the franchise, are exactly why he can be the franchise savior in Houston.
