Teddy Bridgewater and the Denver Broncos were supposed to be gearing up for a Thursday night showdown with Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns.
Not it may be a battle between Drew Lock and Case Keenum.
The Browns have already announced that Keenum is getting the start over an injured Mayfield.
But watch this video of Bridgewater barely able to walk.
Teddy Bridgewater is dealing with a foot injury that the #broncos believe he can play through tomorrow vs the #browns. Watch him try and get off the podium. He literally jumps off and makes sure he doesn't land on his injured left foot. Not a questions of toughness, but a concern https://t.co/qs3fiKxmSA

That does not look like someone who can play quarterback one day from now.
Teddy Cannot Even Walk
The question of toughness was brought up with Mayfield.
He said he wanted to play through a fully torn labrum, but the Browns are making a wise move to let him rest on a short week.
The same thing may have to happen with Bridgewater if he cannot put any weight on his foot.
Now that Mayfield is out, the Broncos may be more comfortable going with Lock for a week and hoping the defense steps up in a big way.
A Crucial Game
Both teams enter this game at 3-3 on the year.
While 3-4 is not a playoff death sentence, both teams are desperate for a win.
Case Keenum vs. Teddy Bridgewater tomorrow, huh?

That is why Mayfield wanted to play and why Bridgewater may try to tough it out for his team.
However, there comes a point when playing hurt is actually a detriment to the rest of the offense.
Bridgewater also just tossed three interceptions in a loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, so it may be time to switch to Lock anyway and see what he can do.
He did show some promise in the past and if anything, an average game may be enough to win over a depleted Browns squad.
This is not how either team wanted to enter this pivotal primetime matchup.
Yet that is the way the NFL goes and the Broncos have a huge decision to make after seeing how Bridgewater is hobbling around.
