There could be plenty of NFL teams that will be salivating at the idea of Lamar Jackson as a free agent.

The Baltimore Ravens were unable to come to terms on a new contract with Jackson before the season.

Now he is set to be a free agent after this season.

It would be shocking if the Ravens were not able to re-sign their franchise quarterback.

But, here are two teams that should try and sign Jackson if he hits free agency.

1. New Orleans Saints

There are very few teams that have done less with more than the New Orleans Saints.

They have good players on both sides of the ball, but their lack of quarterback production is astounding.

First, it was Jameis Winston, now it is Andy Dalton, either way, their quarterback play has been bad.

It is time for the Saints to find their franchise quarterback.

They do not have a first-round pick in this upcoming draft, so free agency might be their best chance to upgrade.

Jackson playing in New Orleans would be electric.

They have a great running back in Alvin Kamara, and a good receiving corps of Michael Thomas, Chris Olave, and Jarvis Landry.

New Orleans should be one of the first teams in line for Jackson if he hits the open market.

2. Atlanta Falcons

Another NFC South team that should be very interested in Jackson is the Atlanta Falcons.

The Falcons do not have a franchise quarterback on their roster, but they are getting a look at Desmond Ridder.

If Ridder does not show much over the final part of the season, Jackson should be on their radar.

With a potential top 10 draft pick coming (current ESPN FPI has them at 8)…the Falcons have to see what Ridder has. Time to find out if he's the future or if they're in the QB market this offseason. https://t.co/EO95zXTHDw

Atlanta has the second most cap space available with about $68 million this offseason.

So giving Jackson any contract he wants is a possibility for them.

The Falcons have not had a Pro-Bowl-caliber quarterback play since Matt Ryan in 2016.

It is time for them to make the moves necessary to get back into contention.

That means finding their next franchise signal caller.
