The Washington Wizards and Phoenix Suns are all over the news after reportedly agreeing to a somewhat controversial trade.
The Wizards are reportedly sending Bradley Beal to the Suns in return for Chris Paul, Landry Shamet, a handful of second-round picks, and potential pick swaps, way less than most analysts predicted.
Yet the team in the nation’s capital could get some more assets by re-routing Paul and his astronomical salary somewhere else.
And according to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, the Los Angeles Clippers could be interested in a reunion with their former point guard.
The Washington Wizards are likely to reroute Chris Paul in a trade and the Los Angeles Clippers are expected to pursue a reunion with the future Hall of Famer, league sources tell @NBAonTNT, @BleacherReport.

Paul spent the best years of his career with the Clippers during the Lob City era, and his family still lives in Los Angeles, so that would make sense.
The Los Angeles Lakers are also reportedly set to try and make a run at him, although they could only sign him on a veteran minimum deal if he’s waived.
Beal’s no-trade clause pretty much allowed him to choose where he was going to and what he was going to be traded for.
That severely hampered the Wizards’ ability to get equal value in return.
Also, his massive contract may have scared multiple teams away, as the new CBA will make it quite tough to have several big-money guys on the roster at the same time.
The Suns now only have four players under contract, and the Wizards couldn’t even get a first-round pick for their franchise player, so this might as well be the very first lose-lose trade in NBA history.
