The World Baseball Classic is one of the finest events that MLB has to offer.
It’s a celebration of all the great baseball talent around the world.
Team Australia might be one of the more underrated teams that are competing in the WBC this spring.
However, they proved why they should not be overlooked.
With an 8-3 win over the Czech Republic, Team Australia punched its ticket to the quarterfinals.
After the game, shortstop Darryl George was interviewed and asked about what the win means for him and Team Australia as a whole.
George was overcome with emotion and joy as he answered each question.

With tears of joy in his eyes, the 29-year-old joked that the turf on the field was causing some allergies, but he ultimately described just what this win meant to him and his teammates.
George said that this win means a lot to him and his teammates, especially given that they were heavy underdogs entering the tournament.
However, despite being written off, George says that he and his teammates are not surprised by their success in the WBC.
George praised his teammates for their preparation and gave the fans back in Australia a nice shutout for their support, while also discussing the importance of giving more young players in Australia the chance to play professional baseball.
Team Australia will match up against Team Cuba in the quarterfinals, which will begin on Wednesday.
