Every single week of any given NFL season is full of surprises.
Week 1 of the 2021 NFL season was no different and the annual trend continued in Week 2.
The week got off to a hot start with a tight Thursday night showdown and ends with an NFC North battle Monday night.
Let’s look at three of the biggest surprises from the slate of games.
3. Titans Take Down Seahawks
The Tennessee Titans looked awful in Week 1.
Derrick Henry could not get anything going and the defense got scorched by the Arizona Cardinals in a 38-13 defeat.
That all changed in Week 2 against Seattle as Henry rebounded for 182 yards and three touchdowns in an overtime victory.
He also added six receptions for 55 yards.

The Titans were even down 24-9 at halftime but battled back as Julio Jones made his first big statement in a Titans uniform.
A 33-30 overtime win was the final and just like that the Titans are back to being overwhelming favorites in the AFC South.
2. Panthers Embarrass The Saints
So much for the New Orleans Saints being a true elite team this year.
After making Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers look like a college team, the Saints themselves got smoked by the Carolina Panthers.
Sam Darnold lit up the New Orleans defense and Jameis Winston only managed 11 completions for 111 yards.
Were they too cocky after Week 1?
Or are the Panthers just a legitimate team this year?
It is probably a little of both as a healthy Christian McCaffrey always keeps the Panthers on the map.
The Saints also managed only 48 rushing yards on the day, so perhaps the Panthers defense could end up being one of the best in the NFL this season.
1. Ravens Slay The Chiefs
The Baltimore Ravens were supposed to be done for after losing their top three running backs to injuries before the start of the year.
Instead, the team just took down the Kansas City Chiefs in primetime.
Lamar Jackson and the Ravens launched a late comeback Sunday night and went home with a 36-35 victory.
Jackson was the team’s leading passer and rusher and still did enough to win even with two interceptions.

The Chiefs certainly appear mortal after a close win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 1 and this Week 2 result against the Ravens.
Yet it is important to remember that both of those teams are top AFC contenders as well.
Those making the schedule made it tough on Kansas City at the start and the early returns show the AFC is in for a great battle throughout the entire season leading up to the Super Bowl.
